Privacy Policy & Terms of Service
Last updated: August 15, 2026
Shopi Pulse ("the app", "we", "us") is a Shopify app that connects to your store to provide AI-powered insights, a catalogue health audit, and store actions you approve. Part A explains what data we access, why, how it is processed, and your rights over it. Part B sets out the terms that govern your use of the app and any subscription.
Part A — Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Pulse is operated as an embedded Shopify app. We do not run a separate merchant login — your Shopify store is the identity, and the app runs inside your Shopify admin. For any privacy request, contact [email protected].
2. Data we access
When you install Pulse, Shopify grants us an offline access token scoped to the permissions you approve at install. Using that token we read store data required to power the app, which may include:
- Products, collections, and inventory
- Orders and order-level details
- Customer records associated with orders
- Store configuration and metadata (name, domain, settings)
We do not ask for or store merchant passwords. Authentication is handled entirely by Shopify via signed session tokens; we never see your Shopify login credentials.
3. How we use your data
- Generating insights, analytics, and recommendations for your store
- Auditing your catalogue for issues affecting sales and search visibility
- Executing store actions you approve through the in-app AI agent (subject to your approval settings)
- Operating, maintaining, and improving the app
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. AI processing and sub-processors
To provide AI features, relevant store data may be sent to third-party AI model providers — currently Anthropic (Claude models) and OpenRouter (which routes to additional model providers). These providers process the data solely to return the model response and under their own data-processing terms. Billing and payments are handled entirely by Shopify through Shopify's native billing — we never receive or store your payment card details, and no store catalog or customer records are shared for billing.
5. Data retention and storage
Synced store data is stored in our database only as long as the app is installed and needed to provide the service. Shopify access tokens are expiring and refreshed automatically; if a token can no longer be refreshed it is cleared. Session tokens used per request are never stored.
6. Deleting your data
Uninstalling Pulse from your Shopify admin revokes our access token and stops all data access. To request deletion of any store data we have retained, email [email protected] and we will delete it in line with Shopify's data-retention requirements.
7. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete personal data we process, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We respond to verified requests within the timeframes required by applicable law.
8. Security
Access to store data is authenticated on every request using signed Shopify session tokens, and store data is scoped so that each store can only reach its own records. We take reasonable technical measures to protect data in transit and at rest.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves or as required by law. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected here.
10. Contact

Part B — Terms of Service
11. Agreement
By installing or using Shopi Pulse you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, uninstall the app from your Shopify admin. You must have authority to act for the Shopify store you install it on.
12. What the app does
Shopi Pulse reads your store data and provides an AI assistant that can answer questions and carry out store actions. Actions that change your store are held for your approval before they run. You may enable automatic approval for specific action types, in which case those actions run without a further prompt.
You are responsible for the changes you approve. AI output can be wrong. Review each action before approving it, and keep automatic approval switched off for anything you are not willing to have run unattended. Some actions — refunds, order cancellations and product deletion among them — cannot be undone.
13. Plans, billing and cancellation
- The Free plan allows 50 assistant messages per day and requires your approval for every action that changes your store.
- The Pro plan costs $29.90 per month and allows 500 assistant messages per day, a choice of AI model, and optional automatic approval.
- Limits are daily and reset at 00:00 UTC. Unused messages do not carry over.
Billing is handled entirely by Shopify through Shopify's native billing. The charge appears on your regular Shopify invoice, you approve it in your Shopify admin, and we never receive or store your payment card details. Prices are in USD and exclude any tax Shopify applies.
You can cancel at any time from the app or by uninstalling it. Cancellation takes effect immediately and downgrades you to the Free plan — it does not run to the end of the billing period, and we do not issue partial refunds for the remainder of a month. Uninstalling the app cancels any active subscription.
14. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the app to:
- Break the law or Shopify's own terms and policies
- Access or modify a store you are not authorised to manage
- Attempt to circumvent plan limits, or resell access to the app
- Interfere with the service, or place deliberately excessive load on it
We may suspend or terminate access for a store that breaches these terms, or where required to protect the service or comply with law.
15. Availability
We aim to keep the app available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The app depends on Shopify's APIs and on third-party AI providers, and may be affected by their outages, rate limits or changes. We may modify or discontinue features; where a change materially reduces what a paid plan provides, we will say so here.
16. Liability
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost or corrupted data arising from your use of the app, including from actions the assistant carried out with your approval. Our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app evolves or as required by law. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
18. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory local consumer law gives you a different right.
